Question T_belt bullshit... time for a rebuild!

so everyone knows that the t belts on the 1.8t engines suck balls and at some point are gonna fail when you least expect it. now the reality of it for me is that i have no compression in any of my 4 cylinders after i replaced the timing belt (i figured shit would be messed up considering it went while cruising about 60 on the highway). at this point i still dont know the extent of the damage to the valves of pistons bc i havent taken the head off yet but at this point im already prepared for the worst. my plan is to bore the engine out and throw in some je pistons and aftermarket valves, with that said the only thing in my way is the lack of knowledge on a car like this as far as what parts i'd need to replace altogether and how i should have my mechanic do this for me.... ugh, some ideas anyone??

wait, your timing belt went slack when you were driving so your solution was to throw a new belt on and hope it worked?

best bet is to learn otherwise building your block is going to cost a shitload from a shop. Price will be cut in half if done yourself.
