    Odd happenings

During a recent rainstorm my car had some odd things happen. When I started to accelerate hard my boost gauge backlights and heat system fans turned off and also my windshield wiper blades stopped moving. The second I let off the gas all things returned to normal. Any ideas on this?

wiring problem first check ur fuses, second check ur alternator make sure it's charging properly, third as wiring harness issues are common with our cars look at all the wires in ur engine bay that u can see water might have hit and shorted a couple wires. Also, are there any lights on the dash that are on?

Probably got water in the ECU box. Open it up and dry everything out with a heat gun...

The relays in there will rust and corode quickly, you may need to open them up and dry them too.

Sounds like you might have similar gremlins in your car who are visiting mine...

I am trying to find out where the ground wire is connected to a transmission mount. Typically I have experienced odd things like this when there is a bad ground. How many miles on your car?

^^exactly hence why i asked if any lights came up on his dash. Check each relay by taking them apart with a small flat screw driver and checking to see if the ECU box is flodded. Then again ur a pro at this stuff so instructions are not necessary.

    Re: Odd happenings

Thanks, I'm going to take a look at my ECU area, I'm probably gonna need to get a new cover for mine since the back cracked. Hopefully this is my problem. BTW no light in my dash lite up.

    Re: Odd happenings

^^which is a good thing so chances are ur ECU is not fried lol. so just take a look also look and see if any of the footwells are wet, since the wiring does stretch through the pass and driver's side footwells as well.
