Sound when accelerating

Hey,
My car makes this really weird sound when I push on the accelerator and release it. It sounds like its coming from the turbo, but its hard to explain. Im a n00b when it comes to turbos but whatever the sound is that a BOV makes, the one my car makes is a lot more noticable. It's not really a hiss, but its more of a mini-roar. I hope this helps, and I hope you can help as well. thanks

kinda of a thumping-ish noise, that is the older loud high pressure fuel pump, mine does it too

mine does it too...it sounds like a blow of valve

I'm pretty sure it's just the turbo spooling. I heard it loud and clear now that I'm flashed.

Do you get it when you release the accelerator (not from WOT) but when you're maybe mid pedal, and you hear this "Krrraaahhhh" sound? Obviously it's somehow linked to the divertor valve, but I would've expected a "Whoooosh" rather than this.

I get my sound when on the gas. I don't think I will hear the woosh sound b/c I don't have a "CAI"

It is more of a "krah".

Yup, more of "krah" than "krrraaaah". My dealer said some A6 2.0T have it too. It's aweful though, doesn't sound stylish at all. I'm wondering if a divertor valve will get rid of it.

took it to the dealer yesterday, turns out its the turbo recirculation valve. in addition, i also have to fix my back seat, bluetooth kit, half of my taillight and my transmission shifter gate. lol

Did the dealer say the turbo recirc. valve was faulty and needed to be changed? Did you get any help with the noise?

yea they said that the recirc valve needed to be replaced. i cant tell you if it helped, because my car is still at the dealer having the tranny fixed lol
