Hey guys, do the B6s with sport package come with a certain tool to take off the lug nut covers? I cant figure out how to take them off to get to the lug nuts, since they're so deep in there. And only thing i have in the box is the aligning tool and a little pin (which im guessing is for that purpose, but if it is, i cant figure it out). Thanks!

really long needle nose pliers are the best bet because i didnt have that tool either but just pull em out with the pliers and you'll be good. 17mm for the lugs =]

x2...i had to change a flat on my sister car. Audi provides this small ring type of tool that takes the cap off but needle nose pliers work better

on the USP wheels, what I did was, I got two nails, bent the tips to a 90* bend, then stick them into the holes in the lug cap and pull away.

yes, theres a tool, it looks like a black plastic pair of tweezers that clip into the cover, works like a charm.

probably blending in with your black toolkit

    Re: Wheel removal

the ring tool is just to remove the wheel hanger if it gets stuck and too hard to unscrew (end goes through the holes in the plastic wheel hanger). do yourself a favor though and get a metal wheel hanger from Winston or PureMS. My plastic one only lasted 4 or 5 full wheel changes before the threads started to wear out.

Try this link... if it doesn't work search for "Wheel Removal" and you will see it under TOOLS.

    Watch out those... it's a whole $2.60

I didn't have one of those but a little key ring type of thing to remove the cap. Made changing the wheel a lot more difficult than it needed to be.

    Re: Wheel removal

^ my kit didn't come with one, but i managed to get the covers off with aforementioned needle-nosed pliers when i had a flat tire.

i have since removed and trashed all of my lug covers. since the lugs can barely be seen, those covers are just a nuisance....but i know that people paint them...meh.

    Re: Wheel removal

Seriously, you can make one out of 2 popsicle sticks, a rubber band, and a small file...
