those are one-time use clamps.. so you have to pretty much destroy them to get them off.. there is a tool somewhere out there for removal, but a good ol' screwdriver will do the trick.

let me know how you like the splitter! just got mine, had some problems with it so forge is sending a new one!

Those one-time clamps should be banned internationally on Audis. Seriously, they are the dumbest and most annoying things ever. I removed every single one of them I could land my hands on when I was checking for a leak. All replaced by screw clamps.

of course, screw clamps can back off over time, which the one time use ones will not. So they are suitable for places where there is a zero-tolerance for leaks (like on CV boots), but I agree they are overkill (and annoying) for most places Audi chooses to use them

you need to get a pair of small end clamp pliers. a screwdriver hasn't ever worked for me...it's a good way to slip and smash your knuckles somewhere in the engine bay!

^^ No need to smash anything..

All it takes is a screw driver or even better a swiss army knife to pop it out.

we're not talking about "smashing" anything. my point is that only once have i ever even been able to get a screwdriver to actually remove a one time clamp. soo much easier to just use the pliers and the f*ckers come off in two seconds.

get a small flathead between/next to the flattened part and twist. should separate easily.
