I got an 03 A4 and for some reason when I go to fill my car I'm unable to pump it past 3/4 of a tank (about 10 gallons or so) or at least this is what its registering on the gauge. Any clue whats up or how to fix?

    Re: Fuel Gauge Trouble

my gauge was not reading the tank levels correctly. so in october i had the fuel sender replaced which made the problem intermintant vs constant. Then about 2 weeks ago i had the whole gauge cluster replaced. Now the problem appears to be solved.

it needs to be re-coded by the dealership. you need the sku codes which the dealership has. i got the cluster new direct thru the dealership since they needed to do the coding. I will warn you it is not cheap.
