    2008 A6 with 19 inch factory rims

I just took delivery of a 2008 A6 with factory 19 rims with Michelin Pilot Sports Performance Tires. I live in the metro NYC area. Just had our first snowfall of the year and needless to say, my car won't move out of the parking spot on the street without sliding into the curb and wrecking the rims.

I did not think it was going to be such a problem...live and learn.

I need recommendations here. Please help!!

The michelin pilot sport is designed for use above 40 deg & not in snow or ice. Get a 2nd set of wheels and tires for winter use (move down to an 18" wheel). A tire like the Dunlop 3D, Bridgestone Lm25, Michelin Pilot Apline PA3 will get you around the city & up to the mtns if you want during the winter.

You could go with the Goodyear Eagle F1 allseason if you wanted to save some money, but if you run into decent accumulations of snow you'll want to do the narrower tire and wheel option as mentioned.

I would probably go for the 255/35/19 Goodyear F1 A/S as well or if your looking for Winters only, then maybe the Dunlop 3D's.
