Yeah i am running my rpm's ( no money for snow wheels).

They are 18x8 with almost bold all season tires and still do gooood :)

Clearcoat starts to peel off cause of the scratches on the lip :(

I ran some wheels last year. 19x8's and my buddy dave run his 19x8.5 all year.

im pretty sure kumho ecsta's are summer tires not all seasons....but anyway, its sweet seeing someone rockin wheels in the winter. if i had to money ide have a sweet set of 18's with snows rather than a used set of 15's i got off craigslist.

Yes, and no.

While summer tires may get you by on snowy roads (before they plow) you're pretty much screwed once they plow and put salt down. The salt melts the snow and turns it into slush which is where I have found to have the least amount of traction. Quattro and ESP will only get you so far.

Summer tires are also a harder compound rubber when it is down near freezing (0C, 32F). Therefore they do not grip as well and the tread pattern also most likely doesn't have any lugs like a mud tire or snow tire. This reduces the ability to grip the road with snow on the ground.

I have driven my Avant in the snow with summer tires, all season tires and studdless snow tires. Performance with snow-covered roads is best with studless snow tires. You can get by with All Seasons if you do not drive that much when it snows. I drive all the time and if its snowing I'm most likely going to the mountains. Hence why I have a set of studless snow tires on a second set of wheels.

ESP really helps but sometimes it slows the car so much u have to downshift.

I have all season tires and once they plow the snow its really slippery when you take a turn.

=FUN. No but really it does make it really slippery, which, when around cars makes me turn at <5 mph
