arite guys, im looking to lease an rs4 in todays market. almost every dealer is giving me a price of 60,000 and i saw one at 56,000w/o titanium package

What should i be looking to pay

    12k a yr
    36 months
    Just drive off
    tier A credit.

what can i get as a money factor..
    Us bank is offering .00274

the best price i got was $1070 with 1600 down. this was on the one w/o titanium.

i know titanium has a few more changes but is it a must? Looking to get the car in the next two weeks

I have a 335i sedan but that is going back and have porsche targa4s as well.

Im also looking at the m3 and possibly an s4. I would look at the c63 but it doesnt come in stick.

I am new to the audi community so my knowledge isn't to much

That's not bad considering we're in the 09 MY. I'd rock it (coming from former Audi Internet sales manager) .

You can always get the Titanium parts after market if you decide to change your mind.

    Re: rs4 lease

the price they offered was with a money factor of .00302..
so im looking to get my payments a bit more lowered.

i can always wait till end of january .

because after calculating the payments. i end up paying somewhere around 46k for their price of 56k. in that perspective, its a horrible idea to lease the vehicle.

should i wait it out a bit more since i really don't mind what color it is, this car looks beautiful in any color even avus silver which im not usually a fan of grey/silver cars

thanks for the quick response as well

    Re: rs4 lease

With the numbers you provided me, you're paying $40,120.00 after the lease. I don't know what residual they gave you. On a one year old discontinued model, it's not terrible.

Last thing you want to do is wait it out. Your paying that much because you're paying down the depreciation on a 2008 model year car, we are now well into model year 2009.

Things may get better if you're looking to purchase, but things will get worse if you want to lease.

It's up to you. The beauty of today's market is that you have the power to shop around, but RS4's are a limited production car and Audi stopped making new ones a while back, so what you see is ultimately what you get.

    Re: rs4 lease

well thats 40k for a car at a price of 56k. so buying out at the end would make more sense yes?

well i see that there are about 15 of em in a radius of 100mi away from me.

If it hits jan 09, and they have 08's on the lot, it would be harder to lease?

residual is around 44%, which is horrible

    Re: rs4 lease

No, buying a car at the end of the lease will not make sense in the long run if you don't have to. If you want to keep your payments low and know you will keep the car for a while, sure, lease it and buy it at the end. Also, it will be harder to lease come next January.

Again, we are currently in the 2009 model year. A 2008 car is now considered last years model and a year old.

On a 3 year lease you are paying the depreciation on a car for 3 years (assuming it is in the current model year). Since the RS4 is a 2008 model, you will have to pay the depreciation of 4 years over a 3 year lease.

So yes, the residual is going to suck. You do have to take a few things into consideration though:

    1. It is a year old
    2. There is a new body style for 2009
    3. It is a gas guzzling V8

I'm sure Audi is throwing a lot of money at these things to unload them, so now is a good time. When these car's first came out, $1,600 down would get you 1350 a month PLUS TAX on a 48 month lease. The number you're getting quoted now was unattainable a year ago.

If your looking to buy a payment/residual/money factor, don't get an RS4, plain and simple.

If you're looking to buy a limited production, one of a kind, manual, awd, V8 monster with 4 doors and an unrivaled interior, get the car.

Ti parts aftermarket ain't cheap...and as swappable as the wheels, grill, and mirrors might be - the exhaust and window trim would be a bitch to get right

Great time to buy a car if you have the money. Find yourself a good interest rate put down a little money, pay less than that lease payment and have an RS4 in 4 years. The RS4 is an incredible car, maybe the best all around car on the market. Its 4WD so it can be used in any weather conditions, its big enough to take out the family, navigation, heated front and rear seats, rear sun shades, Recaro seats, Carbon Fiber interior etc.... Im 17 my dad has an RS4 and every time i take it out i always baby it (Big Responsibility to do stupid shit) and i can average as much as 20mpg in town, pretty good for a 420HP 3800lb sedan.

    Re: rs4 lease

i'd be more inclined to buy one barely pre-owned

if leasing is a must for some reason, you can have a leasing company lease it back to you, but you'll not be able to walk away at the end...you'll have to buy it or at least be reponsible for it's residual value (thus if market price is lower, you'll owe them the difference)

Bah on the lease angle... I'd rather have a low-mileage used car that's mine when all is said and done.
