    Ballast screws

    Taking out my headlight ballasts to replace them with 55w ballasts in a few days. saw that there's some star-type screws holding them in. any special name or size for them or any tool names to get to take them out?

    It is a security torx,

    if you're reusing them, mine backed out a little over 4000 or so miles so i put a little dab of loctite on them the 2nd time around.

    i think i'm goign to mount the new ballasts elsewhere and fill in the ballast holes with some lexan and sealant.
