Yeah so today i worked in Queens, left the job site at 11:30 and arrived home at 4:30. What the FUCK!! is with everyone driving with their flashers on. So many people shouldn't even attemp to drive in weather like this. I don't get why people buy a 4-wheel drive car-truck and drive so god dam slow!! But in the end i took a few back roads home that no one was on or even attempted to drive. It was me, my QUATTRO, and fresh snow!! When i got home this is what the car looked like:::::::

Thats because people that live in the city don't know how to drive as it is with no snow. As soon as they see snow or rain they go 2 miles an he. It took me an hour the other day to get from where the Degan starts in the Bronx to Yonkers which is usually about 15min drive. Hate NYC drivers

Oh my gosh I know, people honestly don't know how to drive in the snow... I saw a prius spin out into a curb right infront of me today, which was stupid. I was on Route 7 connector, which is straight, and people were doing no lie 20 mph on it.. I passed by them doing like 40 give or take and never even slipped...

i was driving thru manhattan and i was just driving normally as of the snow wasnt there passing people like i was on the highway. it was makng me happy to know i can just park in a snowed in space and pull out with no problem.

It's the assholes in the SUV's that fuck up the flow of traffic. No everone, but most. They are driving too careful, but if you can't do it THEN PULL OVER, let the people that can drive in the snow go buy or they are the ones passing and switching lanes like its a race. Scareing the shit out of other drivers. But the funny thing they are the ones off the road into the guard rail or embankments.
Also whats with the people stopping in there lanes to get the ice over there windsheilds and wipers. I had problems with that and i managed to pull my car off the road and get the ice off. I had a woman in front of me just stop and her dumb ass passanger hang out the window and bang the ice off the windsheild. (while right across from us was a REST AREA!) Pull into the rest area.
That just my RANT about a really long ride home from WORK!

No was on the VanWyick, then 95 to Conor Street, to 233rd to the Deagan, then to Tuckahoe Rd. Had to go to the yard of the construction company i work for. Then 87n to Tappanzee, to Exit 16 then 17w to where i live. Seems long way but had to avoid the Cross BronX, and Hutch. They were parking lots.

Well if you read the last part of the original post. It said why i was driving the car hard. And yes i do understand that people do have to get places. I'm just ranting about a 5 hour ride home from the city, and some of the stupid shit people do in inclement weather.
As far as driving my car hard.............yeah why not. I paid for it, i maintain it, and i put the modds on it. So I drive the car the way I set it up. It's only a car. When my kids are in the car, well thats a different story. I'm MR. CAREFUL. But thanks for noticing

WOW, lay off the guy. It took me almost 5 hrs to get back to the Poconos from NYC because of A-hole drivers. Yes they may have to get somewhere too, but when there are multiple lanes, PICK ONE!!! I know how hard it is to stop in the snow, and I know that quattro doesn't give me invincibility in the snow. When there were cars ahead of me I would slow down to 30 or even less incase I did have to stop quickly or if the rear end started slipping.

My moms Jeep is stuck in RWD and I drove it around just fine in the snow... Its all about understanding what to do... I dont get on the gas around turns, I don't brake around turns. Never get out of third and downshift before turns. When getting on the brakes apply them SLOWLY...
