    Where is the power steering pump in the s4? not in back of motor i hope

    Also anyone here with experience DIYing the PS pump? found a used one out of a 2007 s4 for 150. I cant pay no 500+ labor to install it, I am up for anything at this point.

    driver's side. faces backwards. it's not driven by any belt. definitely don't suggest doing it in your driveway. it will be expensive at a dealer or an indie shop.

    What do you mean faces backwards.. what is it driven by? and that means it is or is not on back side of motor.. and why do you not suggest doing it in my garage?

    I just took a peek in the manual and looks like there is a lot of work involved. You access it from the bottom and stabilizer bar needs to be removed, engine mount and couple of other things.

    I showed that to my mechanic.. 2.5 hours he says@ 70 an hr.

    Found a used pump for 150 out of a 2007 s4.

    300$+ mistake. damnit.

    That sucks but looks like you are going pay a little less than having a dealer do it.

    Off topic, do you ever come down to Indy for Uber Dubs GTG? I go every year and have a good ol' time.
