is there a way to turn off the indicator bulb when it is just lit up but turn on when you hit the turn signal ?

lights are on but no side bulbs lit up

when you hit the turn signal left or right they flash

    is that possible?

Re: Stock headlight question( indicator bulbs)

    It's really easy.

The bulb is Dual filament, there will be 4 wires. 2 on each "side" of the wedge.

Take both inner most wires (one on each side of the wedge) and pry it off. There you go.

    Remove both wires in red:

Easiest to take a flat head screw driver and pry it off.

I took a single filament bulb(3056, IIRC) and shaved the tabs on the side down enough for it to slide in and out easily yet be snug. A lot easier than cutting wires and completely reversible.

Correct, corner lights never come on. With lights on or off; but blink normally with turn signal.

How is taking a flathead screwdriver and bending off a wire (which mind you is weaker and thinner then a piece of solder) hard? I have done both, where I bought a single filament wedge and had to shave the sides (when I ran LED turn signals), and that takes a couple minutes of shaving, testing seating, etc.

If it takes you more then an actual second to break off the inner wires, then you probably shouldn't be working on your own car.

I was referring to the wire cutting option, as stated in my previous post. Don't resort to childish banter please. Thank you.

Okay, I guess we can play this game:

    1) You didn't state any specifics; your post came after mine, where I used the term 'wire' to describe the piece of metal that makes the light work.

    Take both inner most wires
    2) No one mentioned a process on which wires to actually cut which led me to believe you were talking about "my" method.

    3) I can argue, to my death, that I was making a statement about how one should not work on their own car if they cannot remove a wire from a light wedge, not going into any specifics with anyone.

So we can squash this, I wasn't referring to your post. I was commenting on my experience with how I performed this simple mod. Can we move on please?

They look identical on each side, where you will see 2 wires on each.
Cut the inner most wire (closest to center of bulb), then turn it around and cut the "same" wire positioned on the other side.

And here's a not so good pic:

Get ready to improvise a way to get the bulb to be held in to the fog housing. I used these pins:

Which I got @ work. And dremeled in to the housing and bent them around the bulb. It's hard to explain, and I would take a picture, but my bodyshop spray painted my grills closed, so now I can't access them.
