RDS OFF Signal on Audio Display?

What does this mean? I used to have a display showing the artist/song when the radio was on.... Now I get "RDS OFF" Any thoughts? I tried looking through my manual but found nothing.

What year is your car and what radio do you have? If it's anything like mine, there is actually a button on the right bank that says "RDS". Just hit it once. If not, I have no idea how the newer radios work. Mine's a 2005.5. I believe it's just the plain old Symphony, not the Symphony II
