How much were YOUR RIMS and TIres??

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello,
I just wanted to see where everybody is getting their rims, and how much did you shed out for them.

What type, size and where did you buy them?
    How much?
Bought second hand or brand new?

Just wondering. I am in the process of picking my first set of rims and it is a bit confusing on which I should buy. Price is a big issue since I do not know if I am paying the right price or getting ripped off.

    Any Comments?

Have a look at our website! www.vmrwheels.com

What size, finish, and style are you going for?

We offer a huge line of 18-19" setups in various finishes and styles starting at $699 a set. Our most popular being the V708 (rs4) style wheel and the recent V710 mesh designed wheel. We offer wheel/tire packages as well, so feel free to PM me for any price quotes or questions.

both tirerack and vmr have top notch service. i have dealt with both several times and will do so again come spring. either place has excellent pricing and VMR offers some wheel options that are more OEM looking while tirerack has a great main-stream aftermarket selection.

On a side note, I am on a lower budget, I bought MMR HR1's in 19" from a forum member a year ago. They came with brand new Nitto Invo tires and were $990. GREAT deal in my opinion. I am looking to sell them actually as I think I need a different look on the A4.

    What size is recommended, 18" or 19", for the 2005.5 B7 S4's?

You can run both 18" and 19". I would recommend something 8.5" wide with around a +35-38 offset. Recommended tire size would be 235's.

If you have any further questions, dont hesitate to ask. =)

Re: How much were YOUR RIMS and TIres??

I am not super duper into rims and such- but,
What about going wider? 245? - I am looking for as awesome looking stock rims as i can find. (lol- I don't like being messed with by cops. )
First i have to figure out if my rims are bent or not tho.

Hmmm... people have been telling me that 19's will crack more often, true? Or are both 18's and 19's just as safe?

You mean bend? They are more prone to bending because 19" tires have a thinner sidewall then a 18".

Depending on the quality of the wheel you are more susceptible to cracks and/or bends when the wheel is closer to the pavement.
