Where can i find a list of channels that i can use to run in the logs for the engine ?

I was on http://www.mjbmotorsport.com/datafaq.html and i tried to use the same numbers they were (034,20,115) but they will not work.

Re: Just got my Vag Com

Alright i will try those , im just looking for air fuel ratio and boost really just the needed ones.

i tried to do some of the other stuff that was in http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...g+dollar+cable

and the values that were in the ecu were not the same as the write up and would not work when i changed them. the only thing i could get to work was the remote windows

If you notice they are coding a B7 in that thread not a B6, but the thread does get the cable to work.

I know the ross tech website teaches you how the coding is done, but I haven't been able to come up with any step by step instructions yet. I did my seat belt chime off of the ross tech instructions and it worked.

Can i reprogram the ecu a/f stuff ?

    it's a diagnostic tool.

maybe i should ask, what did you expect it to do?

Re: Just got my Vag Com

i was not sure what all it could do really

I found i can use limmiwinks to do what i want, tune the fuel and timing.

I guess i can use this for logging a/f ratio then

I was originally planing on getting an STI but ran across this A4 first at 2,500 under the " worst " conditions for Kelly blue book and bought it. Car looks great they had it on there lot for 4 months and wanted it gone.

So anyways the EVO and STI crowed is using OPEN ECU for the logging and tuning, since i am not familiar with the A4 i wasnt sure what all i needed to tune it.

VAG Blocks: These are some of the more common ones used

    002 Injector time and MAF

    003 overall timing and MAF

004 intake air temp and coolant temp

    015 mis-fire count cyl 1~3
    016 mis-fire count cyl 4~6
20/21 Timing correction (CFs), or “timing retard”
    22-24 Timing related data

26/27 Knock Sensor for Cyls 2/5
    034 EGT temp bank 1
    035 EGT temp bank 2
    031 O2 voltage
    032 LTFT

    114 N75 Duty Cycle

    115 Boost (Request and Actual)
    120 Torque

Re: Just got my Vag Com

Audi doesn't have any software like OPEN ECU, so you can't really "tune" it yourself, for the audi you need to have it done by Revo, APR, GIAC, or Uni. you can tweek it with limmiwinks, but thats about it. I have heard rumors about someone trying to make such an app but nothing ever came of it.

Vagcom is a diag tool used to log and scan. you can change some codes (coding the key FOB to roll the windows up and down, ect), but again, it's not tuning software.
