    Re: racetek or autospeed fmic

personally if i were you i wouldnt waste over $1,000 on those when you can just get the JHM fmic that if only about 650 right now if you add the fan kit. That is what i will be doing and many others on here have done, but its your decision gl

    Re: racetek or autospeed fmic

Have you seen logs from ASP or Racetek compared to ER SMIC's? You may just throw up a little in your mouth if you do. If your willing to dish out 1500 for ASP, do yourself a favor and get ER's for cheaper; less pressure drop, IAT's near ambient, and no worries of overheating in stop and go traffic.

    Re: racetek or autospeed fmic

I've got the racetek on my car, im stage 3 as well. The ractek is comparable to AWE sidemounts in cooling efficiency, and thats about it. i found mine slightly used for $750 shipped about 2 years ago. If you can get the owner to lower the price, i say get it. IMO, it is one of the best looking fmic kits available for our cars. if he isnt budging from 1050, not worth it.

I bought a DUH Fmic Kit (+oil/pas coolers and EFK kit) 8months ago for 1400$.
    And it was new ;)

Get yourself a set of ERs, or go with a JHM fmic.
(If you have an S, i'd go for the ERs. I couldn't buy them because they wouldn't fit in my Rs4 :( ).

    Different pipework.
A few people have tried to install them in England, and they're not a direct fit.

The only thing I could imagine being different are the RS4 throttle body/upper intercooler pipes having a larger diameter, therefore make you need a different coupler. Which isn't a big deal either. Plenty of people have run RS4 IC pipes with ER SMIC's.

The lower charge pipes on the rs4 are different, the ones that bolt to the oil pan, though i would think it wouldnt be a big deal to cut them to the S4 length
