Nobody buy parts from A&P Auto Specialties!

i bought 2 regulators from mplschase and both didnt work properly. They wouldnt return my money and would never buy from these guys again. Just spreading the word so you dont go out and waste $300-$500 and tons of your time like myself.

How exactly did they not work properly? I always consider places like them a gamble.

I'm sure they'll respond as to why they couldn't refund your money, I'm interested in knowing.

We kindly spoke with you about our refund. You didn't even say anything until 6 months later (now). I am sure that any vendor here will agree that 6 months is NOT a reasonable time.

WE did send you the correct parts for $40 each...not $500 worth. Plus you had already installed the part and said it worked fine.

We do not sell any junk parts. All parts are checked before removed from the parts cars. If you have a problem with an order, I am more than willing to work out a deal to get you the right part asap! (We cover all return and re-sent out shipping). 6 months later is not at all a reasonable timeframe...

I think you're overreacting. Everybody else that I know of that has dealt with AP has had positive reviews. Your case sounds like it was either an isolated incident or had nothing to do with who sold it to you. Buying used parts is a gamble, some are willing to take the risk, others are not.

I wouldn't bad mouth a reputable seller without going through the situation thoroughly with them to come to an agreement.

(i think hes trying to say it broke again (like any mechanical thing can do out of nowhere) and is just trying to make it seem like you guys ripped him off by sending DOA parts and now wants you guys to fix his problem for free)

Its not that buying used parts is even a risk. We warranty every part for 7 days after delivery. Plus, all the parts are pulled from working cars and tested before shipping to avoid such conflicts.

window regulators on these cars are crap anyway. i've had to replace all of mine twice one i got from a junkyard and so far so good.

if it only cost you $40 you shouldnt be bitchin' i payed $150 a piece for brand new ones after my last one recently broke i said screw and went to a yard which it still cost me $100! total rip i know but they wouldnt separate the regulator from the door frame...

p.s. if you do buy a new one the manufacture warranties them for a year you just have to keep your receipt.

I agree fully, they should be tested before removal, or bench tested. BUT where I was going with that is, how long they will work for after install. They're used parts, used and abused(what cannot be seen) can sometimes go hand in hand.
Granted I don't know his situation, and I really don't want to get real far into it, but I'm just trying to make a point. I guess.

ive ordered from A&P and from chase himself before he even had an ebay store and i can guarentee the guy is legit. helped me out numerous times and nothing but the best customer service. i think kronic is just talkin out his arse on this one

Yea chill out. If something broke 6 months after you bought it you can't shit on people accusing them of selling you bad parts. I've bought several things from A&P in the short time i had the car and can't say anything but good things about the quality, customer service, and willingness to help.

I know I have ordered two regulators and all worked fine... They were also not $500... Try about 1/10th that... Still works almost two years later... If you were going to spend $500 on two regulators, why no go to the dealer?

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. It just goes to show how great the Audizine community really is!

I have been with A&P for about a month now (previous long time customer also) and I can assure you the our #1 goal is to please our customers with good parts. Like I have said before, we go through each car before it is torn apart to check everything from pixels in the instrument cluster, to the way the transmission shifts! Yes we sometimes break parts when pulling them off the car, but those parts only see the dumpster.
