    Re: hamburg technic?

I started a thread exactly like this a couple months ago and I searched a bit and some people didn't have any trouble with them while some others had issues so I didn't take the risk of buying them.

    Re: hamburg technic?

Don't buy them.. they're false OEM. The parts are made in India I believe but for a German company. I just recently had to replace my control arms so I know what you're going through. What kit are you referring to? I know there are some whole kits for around $300 but you must just be talking about the front uppers or something similar. Here's the ones I bought. If you need the complete set then this is a great deal, the dealership quoted me just over 900 for everything that is included in this set. Also was the seller of the item you're referring to deutschepartsusa ? Don't let their feedback fool you they are not legit. Do yourself a favor and google search that name.. Here I did it for you.

    Re: hamburg technic?

We have good prices on control arm kits and have access to several manufacturers. The Meyle kits have been the best to us (in respect to customer feedback), but we offer some at less of a price, too, as the Meyle kits aren't exact inexpensive.

Oh, and be skeptical of these resellers telling you "They have no brand name! They come from yada, yada, yada!" All products have a manufacturer - every single one of them. If a vendor is claiming it's OEM, then ask them "Will it come in a Genuine VAG box?"

LOL That's exactly what deutschepartsusa told me when I asked them what brand their control arms were. "They don't have a brand, they're German OEM parts." Riiiiiiiiiiight.. sure they are.

Sad how the term OEM is tossed around so loosely these days.
Just because it looks like the original part people are willing to call it OEM.
