    how is everyone today?

picking up an '07 ibis white 2.0T quattro avant for my wife this w/e
what i'm curious about is what's the general consensus regarding coilovers?

what are some of the setups that you guys run?
right now i found a set of H&R's used w/ 5k on them.
H&R's ultra lows are what i run on my VW's and i love everything about them.

thanks for your input and my cars for reference

was just going to ask if you were a vortexer when i saw your name! but you def are

how much are you looking to spend?

cause koni and stasis ss are around $1100 or so (I think), Vmaxx just release some for b7 a4's for like $520, but i know you have probably heard horror stories

    Re: air-ride need not apply

H&R's i haven't heard too much about as far as the B7 is concerned.

I personally have Bilstein PSS9's...though pricey, the ride quality is amazing and they do go low. the dampening can be adjusted in minutes with the co's still on the car. and even on full stiff, the ride is still comfortable, a little bouncy, but the car feels so much more planted, and the body roll is dramatically reduced. others who have riden in my car, have said they were surprised at how nice the Bilstein's rode, and really liked the ride.

    just my $0.02

EDIT....i noticed you wanna run bentleys....i have the 2-piece forged continental gt's on my b7. they are 19x9 et 41 all around with 225/35/19 falken fk452's. if the ones you posted have the same specs as mine, then you shouldn't have any trouble tucking them. the rears you'll defiantely clear the fender, and may be able to run spacers even. the fronts you should be okay, but i plan on rolling the fenders anyway.

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ight=coilovers

here are some opinions on other set ups
a rear rs4 anti sway bar is a great addition on top of coilovers
offset is major with our cars because of the calipers. i haven't put much research into that lately, but some one will chime in.
also check the sticky at the top of this b7 forum. it has some good info

    Re: air-ride need not apply

I am currently running the STaSIS c/o and can't say enough good things about them. I am running fairly low at the moment (well actually the car has been in the shop for the last 4 weeks and no end in sight, but) at 24 1/4 all the way around.

Here is a pic of my ibis 08 avant for you:

    on stockers

    and not

the fronts are et35 with 235/35 yokos and do rub. 225 would work fine but not on the back for me. I just deal with the rubbing just like all of the other cars I have owned.

    Re: air-ride need not apply

I've got the H&Rs and really like them. They're a little bouncier on rolling bumps than the H&Rs i've had on my other cars, but the ride is excellent. You'll definitely be able to tuck with them. I'm nowhere near being spun all the way down...

Sick rides man! You apparently arent a stranger to the wagon. Hope you modify the new A4 with the same flavor. If your avant isnt S-line, I have some ibis doorblades for sale in the classfieds. Be sure to post pics when you get the car.

I run Stasis Street co's and they are a nice bump from stock, but they really could be a tad stiffer. A lot of body roll still even with rear sway upgrade

vogtland coils go low as shit....

the front coils are not even half way down, and the rear ones have about 25 threads left in this pic...

basically, youcan lay the subframe down on these coils before u run out of thread

I have TEIN SS Coils...these suckers drop like a mofo, and they are 16 point adjustable dampening...they ride great!

Here's a pic they day after I installed them...they've settled since...tucking tire all the way to the rim. I still have about 1 inch of thread left all around.
