Avant rear wiper =always on= regardless of switch position

Anyone else experienced a rear wiper that won't shut off? Of course I've pulled the fuse in the meantime, but I'm wondering where a good place is to start to debug this problem.

Is there a chance it could be a relay stuck open? Or something gummed up in the stalk?

I have something kinda similar, instead of constantly moving mine wont move at all. There are little prong like arms in the wiper motor that let the computer know where the wiper is. My guess is yours are stuck on where as mine are stuck off. Theres a DIY somewhere.

I know the rear wiper is tied to the "auto" mode on the front wipers. When I have my front wipers on with the rain sensor and put the car in reverse, the rear wiper comes on. As far as it staying on, sounds like a stuck relay or bad switch.
