Need dealership service advise in New Jersey

Cannot believe how quickly the miles rack up. Need to bring my RS4 in for 5,000 mile service. I bought the car from Riverside Audi. Any experiences (good or bad) with their service? Anyone have other NJ dealership recommendations? Just being cautious since I have heard some people say that their dealer forgot to put back some underside fasteners, etc. Please advise, thanks.

Riverside is pretty decent. Brian should take care of you. They handled my coilpack issue very well. Carson is also a great guy in Parts.

I get all my servicing done at DCH Audi in Milburn, NJ. No issues for over 3 years w/ them.

Yeah, def. stay away from Jack Daniels. I purchased my car from them...did some warranty work the first few weeks with them and they did not treat my car as they should've. Lets just say, I saw AND heard them take my car for a joyride...they had no idea I came back early and was waiting outside. Definitely a thumbs down!

If you wanna try Schneider Nelson Audi in Long Branch...give Steve in Service a call. Tell him JP recommended you. I used to live in Old Bridge...so, Marlboro should be a short ride to the dealership.

I mean, he's not going to be working on the car...but, at least he can inform the techs :)

As far as buying a car Riverside was the worst buying experiance of my life and I've owned a lot of vehicles. They checked off items on the CPO check list as working fine but I checked them and they were not working correctly. Go any where but Riverside!!!!!

Hmm similar experience i had at Newton Motorsports. I was on the lot looking for a car when i saw one of the mechanics take a B6 S4 out that was there for service. Whatever the problem was there was no need for him red line the car out of the lot 1st - 3rd.

I havent gotten my audi serviced yet in NJ but I go to school in RI and I have had it serviced at Inskip....great service and they havent charged me a dime, when I bought the car from riverside they told me 50$ minimum every time....anyone else know anything about this?

My only service exprience is warranty work with audi of mendham. pretty good and no surprises afterword. they have not said anything bad about my mods, they always ask me about my car. I always do my own maint. so I do not know about paying services

There is a copay of $50 for each warranty visit on CPO's

I lived in Teaneck for years and this is going back in the 80's when I had my 5000 turbo and my 4000s Quattro. Jack Daniels was a crooked dealer then. They suck.

its always better to service your car by yourself... Since you know what you HAVE done and what you haven't. Never had a pleasant experience with ANY dealers. And i've owned and own aloooooot of cars... alot of Audi's and VW's the only pleasant experience with a dealer was when i drove my dad's GT Continental into service

i bought an S4 at mendham. worst dealer. they don't back up what they say. I had a few issues with the car they didn't address and their preparation sucks. Left the car for a week with them and they fixed nothing. No license plate in the front.. no batttery cover.. scratches thye promise to buff....fogged headlights .... Now i have to deal with a car that makes noises every time i turn at low speed. Sh!tty dealer .. stay away

I have personally serviced at both Riverside and Princeton Audi. Both I have had positive experiences and would recommend whomever is closer.

There's a couple of threads on here in the Northeast: Tristate subforum, that are talking about Riverside having some sort of financial problems, not paying off on peoples trade-ins, etc. Just a heads up, I don't know if this effects service though.

Contrary to some opinions, I have had good experience with Jack Daniels, in Upper Sadle River that is. It is a fairly new store, so I'm not sure if any of the negativity applies. If you go, insist to have Ryan service your car. Very passionate Tech and absolute gear head. No matter what dealer you go to, someone is gonna pound on your ride a bit on the road test!

bought my s4 from riverside, like above worst buying experience ever. brian from their service desk on the other hand makes up for that . they won't give too hard a time with mods either. i had a bunch of warranty work done there and they did a great job but wont give you a loaner if you're under 25

had my last service in addition to coil pack and window reg pit stops done at bell in edison and have been nothing but satisfied. bob there does a great job! and to top it all off, you only need to be 21 to get a loaner!!

I've had a few experiences with jack daniels service in fairlawn...gregg is one of the managers over there...pretty good guy..

although they push for doing things that you dont need done on your car..and they charge a price a little close to ridiculous..they've done decent work with my car..and always check the miles in and out..for me atleast its pretty a decent experience
