HELP me make a decision

I need an automatic daily driver. My dealer has a Black/Black S-line 2009 A4 I went to look at last night, which is beautiful. However, I don't know if I'll be satisfied with the power since I am coming from an E46 M3. When is the 09 S4 supposed to be released? Any opinions on the 09 A4 S-line, or maybe another Audi that I can look into?

Any help would be appreciated.

i'm not sure exatcly when the s4 is been released but i would definitely wait on the S4 instead of the A4

Prob a year from now (S4). they are always late when releasing something.

With a software reflash the new 2.0T in the B8 should be much quicker, and if you're concerned about warranty you can go with Stasis for the software. Unfortunately it hasn't been released yet, but isn't that long away.

I am not fixed on getting an Audi because the price isn't too appealing as well to be honest. The car has an MSRP of over $46k! A 36 month lease with 25k miles a year (I drive a LOT) is around $880/Month. Thats getting into M3 territory.

However, I DO need an automatic as a manual is too much hassle in everyday traffic with the amount of driving I do, and since I drive so much, gas has to be taken into consideration as well.

Any suggestions? BMW, Audi, Mercedes?

agreed. the 335 is a good car or wait for the S4. I am debating between the S4 and the M3 right now. both have their positives. the S4 would be a better daily driver because of the better fuel economy. the M3 would just be a blast to drive if fuel is no concern what so ever.

The new B8 S-Line is a beautiful car that drives like a dream. You wouldn't be disappointed with it. Audi's may not be the fastest in a straight line but they will deliver you reliably and safely to your destination under any weather and road conditions. I traded a E46 M3 for my B7 A4 2.0T and have never looked back. I expect the new S4 will be truly fantastic if you have the time to wait for it. You might also consider the S5. If all-weather performance is not important then any front- or rear-wheel performance car that appeals to you is fine.

If you prefer a 4-door, want performance, and gas is an issue, then I would say go with the A4 2.0, skip the S-Line but get the performance package (if you want the sport seats), and then contact STaSIS for a Touring or Challenge package (depending on the amount of $ you want to spend). Their aftermarket additions are done in conjunction with Audi so your warranty is still valid. Their website has some decent information regarding what they can do, but to get a more detailed rundown, just give them a call. The personnel I’ve dealt with have been extremely knowledgeable. Just another option.

agreed...i think the audi is a better car than the bmw as well. for me, after driving the m3 though, it is a beast, i want to see what the s4 does with some mods. but the new audi is a looker no doubt!
