Looking for simple upgrades for 05 Allroad 2.7t

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I've had my 05 Black Allroad 2.7t for about 6 months, and done a few things. Not trying to mod it out too racer, as still drive clients around, and want to keep it more low key. (no loud exhaust, etc)

    - replaced the air suspension (not by choice), and wish I learned about Arnott sooner. Bought the compressor from them, awesome.
    - K&N air filter
    - Zimmerman Rotors
    - Cosmetic other, tires, paint, etc.

Now looking for what's next without breaking the bank.

    - Brake Calipers? - can't splurge for Brembo or other high end kit, but what about Porsche, etc.
    - Anti-Sway bars?
    - Chip?
    - Air intake?
    - what else?

    Thanks for the help guys!

I don't think the intake would help you much. I would look into the chip and sways.

Unitronic has a chip that boosts the hp from 250 to 315 and the torque from 258 to 345. It is probably your best bang for the buck.

1st two mods: H-Sports (best mod for the dollar in my book) then chip (pick a local vendor if possible).

Replacing caliper (unless just changing to HP2) does not provide an advantage for the cost. If you are looking for a BBK there are two posts on AW for some one off deals:
    1) StopTech 355mm ST40 BBK in yellow available at a great price
    2)Red Calipers, Slotted 332 x32 Rotors, Front Lines, Carrier Brackets, and Instructions. These brakes will fit B5 S4, C5 A62.7T, Allroad 2.7T All B6 A4 and S4.

From there better tires, maybe bigger wheels.

Get rid of the K&N.They say it ruins the map sensor. You can get a Porsche brake kit for $1300 and a Stoptech for $1600.You can do mud flaps.Look into a clear bra.GIAC or APR for the chip.H-Sports must be first

Re: Looking for simple upgrades for 05 Allroad 2.7t

Great ideas, so far. Seems that chip and sway is a good first start.

Scot_w - I'm running Pirelli Pzero Nero's, which I looked into a ton before diving in. I know they have a rep of being soft and might burn down soon, but while they are on, they're golden.

Kevin1 - Looks like a great chip. I'll look into local dealer.
I'm in Colorado, up in the mtns, but have no problem hitting up the city to get tuned.

    Mydwagon - what's a good air filter/intake option then?

What are good sways? All pretty similar? Need front AND back?

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks guys

Research is good. If you like what you bought it is even better.

H-Sports. Come as a front and rear set. There was a GB on them earlier in the month.

I don't want to go much bigger in wheel, as I do live in the mtns, live on a dirt road, and don't want to stiffen the ride.

Thanks guys for info. Hsport sway first, then Chip it is!

Scot - where was there a GB on them?
