How do I add ATF?

Just wondering, I need to fill my fluid up before it gets too low. How do I add the automatic transmission fluid without taking things out etc?

Wouldn't it be better and make more sense to do a tranny flush? Especially if it's an automatic transmission, it should be changed regularly I believe.

fill plug on the tranny... i dont think there is a dipstick so it would be the fill plug. its on the drivers side of the tranny

^ I also would like to know how to do this, do you just use something to pump it through the fill hole? And to check the fluid level, is it like some other transmissions where there is like a tube thing, that when the fluid gets to a certain level it will start to flow over the top of the tube and come back out?

yeah if i remember correctly thats how its done. u could get a fluid pump or one of those hoses and you connect it to the bottle of atf and kinda squeeze it in

i would use any fluid bro...its comin out in a matter of days anyway. why spend if its gunna leak out anyway.

as for the fill, i dont remember it looking like that but you would have to fill through there. i remeber a drain and fill holes seperately but that might be just the manual trans.

Yea, under the car. You're gonna need a pump, or create one like he did in that link. (I made one with a turkey baster and a copper tube. Thanksgiving ftw!)

Then basically pump ATF into it until it starts pouring out.

My gf's cousin is a tech and works on vw'/audi's... he said to check the fluid level the car has to be running... take it from me, if u take the drain/filler plug out without the engine running, 3 or 4qts will spill out... but with the engine running at operating temp, take the drain/filler plug out and fill/pump your trans fluid in until it begins to drip out.. Reinstall the drain/filler plug and you're set.... be careful cuz at operating temp, that trans fluid is HOT!!! Also, the car needs to be level, so if u jack up the front end, you need to jack up the rear a well....

That's it, when I had mine flushed they opened it up and let it drain then had the car running when they pumped all the new fluid in. When it started to come out they put the plug back in and turned off the car.

So I went to add more fluid today. Put the car on the lift and let it run for like 5 mins before I loosened the bolt. Once I loosened the bolt, some fluid came out, maybe 1/4 quarts worth. I figured it is "full" so I shouldnt worry about that anymore. Does this seem right?
