    http://www.mjmautohaus.com/catalog/contact_us.php

that website has all the stuff you need to know about performance brake pads and rotors. i ended up putting brembo rotors and hawk hps brake pads as a front set up for my b5 a4 and loving it.

    Re: Breaks price-quality?

You can get an OEM upgrade, such as the B5 S4 brakes (bigger clearance required),

    or B6 S4 Brakes.

    Otherwise,
    Stoptech makes a good kit
Ecs makes great kits that come in different Stages depending on your needs(www.ecstuning.com)
    Alcons

Of course, Zimmerman factory size upgrades,
    You'll like this

there's one other company, I think sells Zinc coated rotors. Great stuff, just can't remember the name.

    DBQ. DBA..??
    Nothing's coming up.

    that's it for now

What do you mean bigger clearance required? If you mean wheels...I installed my B5 S4 brakes tonight on stock sport 17" easy...16" would fit.

    That's exactly what I mean.
Offset is extremely important with B5S4 brakes.
The caliper is wider, so wheels would need a more aggressive offset to compensate for clearance.

Anybody ever used these rotors: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=161124 ? Seems like a solid price for a set of drilled/slotted OEM rotors.

    Re: Breaks price-quality?

I would recommend everybody to be weary when considering Ceramic pads.

They aren't they are chocked up to be. They squeal uncontrollably, even with stop squeak gel applied twice on the back of the pads. Rebedding does almost nothing to compensate for squeals. Finally, brake dust is probably even more apparent in ceramics than they are in the OEM compound.

I would honestly stick with OEM compound for DD. If you see some track time, HPS or HP+ by Hawks are very good sets of brake pads.

    FWIW.

    I got the B5 S4
PBR CERAMIC pads from ECS tuning.

Lords alive, all the problems I stated above and more.

I'm not undermining ECS as they are a reputable company, and I've purchased products from them that range from maintenance, to performance and beyond. I'm saying that PBR isn't a great choice when it comes to ceramic pads for our cars.

People using the A4 PBR Ceramics have similar experiences.

review time. install was easy(if you have done brakes before) product quality is spot on, pads were perfect and all hardware was included. braking is smooth, quite, and much quicker then what stock was.
I would recommend this combo to anyone that is looking to upgrade when their stock ones are gone.

Craigslist out here in Colorado often has a B5 S4 brake setup available. That's my best recommendation other than AZ to find a used set. Also check out audiforums.com and vwvortex.com

Great to hear! We appreciate your business, fellas!

We feel like we have the absolute best deals with FREE SHIPPING on OEM (ATE) rotors, along with Hawk, Mintex, and OEM pads. When it comes to rotors, we will never be one of those companies that will list an item as an "OEM" rotor when in fact it's cheap Asian made with a quality significantly less than OEM. Warping rotors is no fun. When we tell you that the rotors are "OEM", they will never come in a plain box in an effort to put the blinders over your eyes - they will come in an OEM ATE (German) box.

When it comes to friction, we're married to Hawk and run them on our own in-house cars here. On deals for Hawk pads by themselves and without rotors, feel free to contact me for Audizine Member pricing.

    Re: Breaks price-quality?

I have been using SPP "Adam's brakes" for about a year now and they have worked great and look amazing as well.
I looked all over for Hawk hps's but ended up going with PBR's metal master's in the rear and PBR ceramic's for my front B5s4's and they have been great. The ceramic's do dust alot more than the metal master's. I haven't had any problems with squeeling. My advice is to make sure you put anti-squeal on the pads if you want to ensure they don't squeel.
