    Hazards will not stop flashing.

I'll make a long story short so here are the facts.

My car was hit, 2 air bags blew (which have yet to be replaced).

    My airbag light is on
My Central locking module was replaced, keys have not been reprogrammed yet

I can lock/unlock the doors via the drivers lock button (although I think I have a leak, I hear hissing).

My hazards will NOT STOP flashing.

Weird thing is, if I press the flasher button, they stop flashing for a few seconds, then start again.

My alarm also went off once, and I don't know why.

The flash is not a fast 'alarm' flash, its exactly as if my hazards were on.

I also noticed that the car will default to the hazards on when it is involved in an accident.

I'm thinking that I need to reset something with vag-com to stop the car from thinking it's in 'accident' mode so to speak.

If anyone can shed some light I'd greatly appreciate it - I can't drive my car with the hazards constantly on :) I might just remove the switch for the time being until I can figure it out though.

I think there's a soldered fuse in the hazard switch that breaks when the airbags are engaged or something similar, you might have to replace the whole switch. I'd ask an Audi Dealer, they might just tell you without taking a look at it.

In an accident, a crash signal is sent by airbag control module to the central lock module which flashes the turn signal in an accident, unlocks the car, etc. Not sure if you can erase that fault tho, not supposed to be able to anyway. One frontal accident= repl airbag cont mod and up to three side impacts- crash faults can be erased. I wouldn't think it would continuosly flash like that tho..

    Only my side bags blew..

I'm going to try to reset the fault codes and see where that gets me.

If that doesn't work it could be what blmlozz said. I replace my hazard switch about 6 months ago cause it started freakin out for no reason (it is also the turn signal controler). I found some site that sold them for $30 or something cheap like that and did it myself.
