    CVT maintenance qns

Hi - I recently had my 35k service for my 1.8T CVT. The maintenance schedule says that CVT fluid should be changed. Does any one know what parts / fluid part numbers they use so I can check if they did it?

    My service statement:

    00310036 MAINTENANCE 35000 MLS / 55000 KM
    47WAA03
    1 068-115-561-B OIL FILTER
    5 ZVP-000-540 SYN OIL
    1 ZVP-000-600 TOP FLUID <---???
    1 8E0-819-439 FILTERELEM
    4 101-000-063-AA SPARK PLUG

I'm starting to fear the coil pack issue. Two coils blew right before I left the dealer after they just serviced my car!

    Re: CVT maintenance qns

i always have a new set of 4 in my car, but since replacing them all 2 years ago i haven't needed to swap them out. just get new ones plus an extra set if you have the money and you won't have to worry about coilpacks at all.

CVT... Its pretty much straight forward... Just have the fluid and filter switched out at 55k and your good to rock and roll for another 20-30k... I replace the fluid every 20k just to be on the safe side (a new CVT tranny runs about 5-7k!!) If anything is weird or is broken the OBD computers do I good job when it comes to codes..

    Re: CVT maintenance qns

It sounds like they didn't change my CVT fluid. I'll have to go back, since it's still free for me. How much does the fluid change normally cost?

The CVT works just fine for me. I drive in heavy traffic so it's much more convenient than stick and better on gas than the tiptronic.
