Ummm whatever dude^... there are lots of things to do...

I just put a piece of heavy duty velcro at the bottom and tightend down the existing bracket... it's snug. I will eventually modify the braket for a little better fitment...

they have those universal mounts that have two posts that hook under the tray and then have a strap that goes over the top. works for my yellow top

    Re: Optima 35 Install

This is what I did. I bought a steel battery hold down off of ebay and had it welded to my existing factory hold down. I had to modify the two rear mounts so that it would slide down and I also had to drill a hole in the bottom of the mount I bought off of ebay so that I could access the bottom bolt.

After that I sprayed painted it flat black to match my strut brace and it came out great and looks great and holds the battery more securely then stock. This is for a series 35 battery as well

    Hope that helps.

The 34R has the terminals reversed which makes wiring it easier.

I just bent a fender washer into a toe clamp and used an existing hole in the tray.

    Re: Optima 35 Install

Optima makes adapters for these batteries. They clip onto the bottom of the group 35 battery and fit the stock brackets perfectly. I did not want to modify anything, so I called Optima and they overnighted me two sets, no charge. Check out the link below, bottom of the page.
