APR Releases MED17 EMCS Functionality!!!!

APR is pleased to announce that MED17 ECU Upgrades now include the ability to select multiple programs via your factory equipped cruise control!


APR’s ECU Upgrade for the new VW and Audi 2.0 TSI Engine is now available with full program switching capabilities of up to 4 unique and individual situation specific calibrations and additional features that installed on your ecu and selected with the factory equipped cruise control.

Installation of additional program features and functionality will be available at all APR Retailers Monday, December 15, 2008!

The following programs are available and you may choose up to 4 to be loaded to your ecu simultaneously:

Stock Mode: Exact OEM ECU Calibration
91 Octane Performance Mode
93 Octane Performance Mode
100 Octane Performance Mode
Valet Mode

In addition to the programs, APR also adds functionality directly to your ecu with the following features:

Fault Code Erase: Erases all engine control unit dtc’s
Security Lockout: Disables additional ECU functionality until secret code is entered
Anti-theft: Disables throttle input until secret code is entered
APR continues to lead the TSI performance aftermarket with the most extensive and most technologically advanced product line available.

No the B7 does not have the TSI engine in it. All B8's have the TSI ME17 ecu in it.

The part that says :

makes it sound like this is for the "older" 2.0T -- i.e. the one not installed in the 2009+ B8 A4. Can you confirm this is the ECU update is for the 2.0TFSI engine in the 2009 A4 -- the one with exhaust valve-lift?

If so, a 232HP/273lb ft for 91 Octane seems less than impressive vs the 211HP/258lb ft the stock ECU provides.

It would a substantial bump over the "old" 2.0T of 200HP/207lb ft. but if that's the case this is the wrong forum.
