    ESP Button Replacement?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Like many others, my buttons are all peeling, with ESP and my Headlight knob being the worst. Is there a DIY to replacing these (hopefully with photos) ?
How much are they to buy and where?
    Thanks!

    Re: ESP Button Replacement?

Esp and headlight buttons are ~$50 on ebay. The trouble is that you should order them by VIN from a reputable vendor, because there has been at least a couple variations on the interior buttons, over time. That is to say, some were colored slightly differently than others. Usually, from a vendor, they're around $100, but there's a fair amount of wiggle room.

You can get them from the stealership or somewhere like ECS.com, or genuineaudiparts.com. To remove the headlight switch you push it in slightly and turn it a quarter turn to the left IIRC. The ESP button cover pops off with a carefull pry as to not scratch your dash.. good luck.

They are plug & play for the hazard button, though, right?

I'm pretty sure the Funk button is a direct swap for esp?

if you look at the two buttons you can see that the ESP switch is one of the one on the end of the switch bank, because of this the top right corner of the switch is rounded to match the dash. the funk button is one of the middle buttons with four square edges.
Awesome idea, but it just won't work unless you were to grind down the fun switch and i'm not sure if you could make ti look right.

    Re: ESP Button Replacement?

    Thanks for all the responses!
Im going to order it from ecs along with the rs4 sway bar.
So I just pop it out/off with a screw driver or something?

I don't get the "funk" button, what's the purpose of that?

the funk button is to replace one of the blank areas that does not have a button so that you can add accessories that run off a factory looking switch.
