And a new gas tank, I believe that there is a higher water content in E85 so the stock tank will corrode.

That's what I'm wondering who has a tune for this fuel? I believe Denvernoob is running gaic. Our tanks are safe. Most newer vehicles have plastic fuel tanks.

Re: E85 what do i need to run this!

Better throw in some larger injectors seeing that you will need around 30% more fuel running E85.

BTW dont expect any of the knock sensors to work and if the tune is wrong expect to be buying a whole new engine.

Correct. Tunes for this fuel need to be spot on to get the benefit of it as well as to run safely. Factory ecu safety features are defeated in a number of cases including what was mentioned above. I would not embark upon this course without seeking the advice of those who know the fuel and can support you locally. Trust me when I tell you that the majority of advice you will get here is largely speculative. The fuel and it's physical properties are vastly different than gas and as such the ecu is not equiped to handle it automatically with safety features in place. This can make it dangerous to run in certain circumstances. Believe me when I tell you this...I have first hand experience with the consequences. Fwiw, I'm still running it on my built motor and bt setup! Local support is worth it's weight in gold. Many sti and evo peeps run this so u might start there.

damn, you are in CA.... too far from SSPtuning. Greg does E85 tunes for B5/B6 cars. his tune with E85 on B5 S4 gained power in 3 figures.

One of the Evo guys I know on Evom.net that lives in Norcal started tuning his Evo for E85 but ended up giving up and going back to C16 till he has more time to deal with tuning for E85.
