Need Help WIndow wont go Up

so it was a nice day out i had the windows down put them up then on my way to work i sliped and pushed the rear driverside window button. window went down but will not come back up. all other windows are fine and go up and down. any body have any insite and secondly does anyone have the pdf file for the repair manual. i need to get this window up asap

Did you try to bring it up with the rear door switch? I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the plastic guide that rides on the track.. Think it was either green or blue. Hope you get it up soon with this crazy weather we been getting!

You should atleast take the panel off and try to manually put it up till you fix it.

i tried all the switches and even the auto roll up with the key lock. im gona try to take the panel off tomrrow but i really need to get a manual i had the pdf file but my pc got formated and i lost it

Just take the door panel off. Its some screws on the bottom and on the handle. then see if it slide off the track or if you regulator is shot.

ha. i had to fix mine several times on my A4... apparently its pretty common.

If you can pull the window up just by pulling the window, that green clip busted. its a pretty easy fix. Someone made a diy on it... check it out

Yup me too.....Just take the panel off.(Its easy, just unscrew all the philips screws) DAMN PLASTIC WHEELS, I dont know what the hell Audi was thinking putting a plastic pulley with the STEEL window motor cable. But simply pull on it so the the window goes up, then tie it so it stays. Next disconnect the harness so you dont accidently roll it down.

If your regulator is OK, just pull the window motor off and manually crank the window back up.

think it was the motor cause i dont hear any clicking coming from that door when i push the button down, and the window does not move when i pull on it so im guessing its still in track, its in my gargage so im gona take the panel off tommrow.

ok so fixed the problem. turns out the wires for the clip that connects to the window motor were hanging out a lil and as the window went down it was creating pressure on the wires, which eventually causes the clip to slightly disconnected from the motor. only down side was i broke some of the clips on the door. so does anyone know where to order the clips from.
