They are halogen but they have a convenient grommet type thing on the back that should make an HID install easier because i won't have to drill at all (See below). The unfortunate thing is that i have an HID kit already but it has H7 bulbs and the ones for these lights are H1 i believe.

Chances are he would not be able to perform routine daily tasks due to the newfound weather.
