Mmm... clean Ocean Blue is damn sexy

Detailed the GF's car yesterday... I did the wash and wax while she took care of the inside.

The sun was setting as I finished so the pics had to be taken in the garage. Not the best lighting, but you get the idea:

woops, need to get a brush and get that excess wax off

I got a little carried away and waxed the wheels too :)

Most of the pix were just reflections of our messy garage, heh.
GF will be pissed if I win the RS4 and it's blue -- she likes having the only blue car in the family :)

Car details: 2006 2.0t quattro tip S-Line, all stock except for the GIAC 5x flash. 13k miles.

Looks sick bro. Good job with the detail. U can do mine next time you're in the area. Haha

P.S. You missed some crust around the s-line badge :)

Oh, I like the Sleeper lurking in the reflections too.

Ocean Blue was my first choice...

Car looks good, but looks like you need to go back and clean the windows too.

Yup! I always forget to give the windows proper treatment as I'm usually too tired by the time the rest of the car is done :)

BTW, I didn't do anything fancy here...
Just a wash with microfiber sponge and Meguiar's soap... wiped dry with "the absorber" and some microfiber towels to pick up the excess...
followed with a basic application of Meguiar's cleaner wax, again wiped dry with microfiber towels. No more than an hour start to finish.

I wash the cars every couple weeks, and try to wax them once every month or two (4 washes).
GF works in an industrial area and has to park outside during the day... it's caked with dirt after just one day :(

It helps that the car only has 13k miles on it!

I know what you mean. Driving around in Wyoming with all the dirt roads and now all the snow, it's a pain to wash and detail everything. After a week of driving, the engine of my car looks like it has 50k miles. It's always a good feeling to go through, spend 8 hours detailing the car and have it flawless again though.
