Thinking about getting this A4

[NSX]

Hey guys, this is my first post. I am a car fanatic and I'm thinking about getting a 2005 Ultra Sport S line A4. Its a 1.8T with a 6 speed.

I currently own a 1991 Acura NSX and I think I finally need a car for the Colorado winters. I don't think any car could do a better job than an Audi.

Here she is, what do you guys think??? Should I buy it?

The car looks clean on the outside but for an honest opinion we need to know like price and mileage and all that good stuff. But looking at the fact that you already have an nsx and your dad drives a 911 i'm thinking the price of it isn't that big a deal to you ;P

Price and mileage are the deciding factors. If they're reasonable, I say go for it, but I'm definitely biased

Wow, I can't believe how quickly so many people replied.

The car has 60,000 Miles on it, and its $16,000.

The wheels were painted by the previous owner and there are some paint chips on the wheels, but its pretty minor. I'll probably repaint them when the car needs new tires. Otherwise the car is in pretty damn good shape. It was owned by someone who lived in the mountains of Colorado so I think most of the miles are from driving up and down I-70

And Jordan when the roads clear up I'll be happy to get the 911 out for a little drive. Also, I don't know if I told you, but my old man just rebuilt his 1972 Porsche 914. Its got a 290hp fuel injected 911 motor in it now. It used to have 90 Hp... that's triple the power...its f-ing sweet!

Looks soooo nice. A4's look HOT in red. Audi's (and Subarus) are also the best cars in the snow IMO.

The building was designed by my dad and its one of two. That one is unheated and he calls it the "cold storage building" its basically a huge car garage.



We still have the Allroad (step mom's, lol) and the white A8L in the background has been replaced with an 05 A8L. The green Porsche 914 has been completely rebuilt, repainted and re-engined. I'll do a write up about that car in the general cars forums sometime

Go for the purchase bro! Engine swap sounds sweet for sure, would like to see how that old best runs now. Yeah it definitely needs to warm up before we pull high speed against each other with 03 911 turbo. Had to take the Duramax into the shop today to get a leaking tranny fixed under warranty.....so got back home this morning and pulled the avant out of the garage. Needless to say the summer tires (yoko advan neova) don't hook up very well in 0deg temps and snow covered roads lol. Have to drive it like a rwd mustang.

lol....ok. Since the dealer typically recommends the service at 60k miles, I felt this little bit of information may at least be a negotiating tool for him.

Wow, nice USP. I like the black wheels on that red. As others have stated, I'd agree to never buy a vehicle based on looks alone.

With the mileage, clean carfax, and that price - I'd definitely go in to negotiate further, but that's a pretty good deal anyway.

Don't wait much longer to grab it, either.

I just found a 2006 A4 2.0T for the same money.

Its a really high mileage one, its got 71,000 on it.

It is a lease return to the audi dealership thats selling it so I've got all the mtx records and everything.

What do you guys recommend, the 05 A4 (the red one with pics posted) or an 06 with 10,000 more miles for the same money????

USP's are some of the best looking stock a4's imo and 16k - assuming you bargain a little isn't a bad price

NSXs are the shit! This would be a great addition to the stable! Make sure that the T-Belt and water pump were done - if not, knock the price down.
