I logged my misfires too. cylinder 1 was all over the place once I got into serious boost. cyl 2 jumped on board only for a moment. I'm going to swap out a coil pack and see wha i get. gotta warm up first then go back out for some more good time cold freeze. Anybody have any possible insight? The car is running like complete poop. I dont feel safe driving it.

The way to be sure is to play musical ignition coil and do a boost leak test. Could also be spark plugs.

Compression test or check the connection of the coil harness clip to the coil. And something very simple, but massage the harness a little bit (wiggle them). And for the plugs, I had a misfire before and I changed the plugs to a resolution. But upon inspection of the plugs, I noticed that there was this little amount of gook on the tip of the one from the misfiring cylinder (really tiny amount that looked like boogers. the snotty kind and I have no idea what it was). I know that was the reason for the misfiring, so you might want to just try wiping down your plugs clean then reinstalling them. Just an idea.

That almost sounds like dielectric grease of some sort that got weathered. I'm waiting for my buddy, he's bringing the flatbed and we are taking it to the shop for some warmth.

Coil pack it is. got 40 misses in a matter of like 2 seconds in boost, that was after the move from one spot to another. Gotta love vagcom and it's data logging lol. Sure made this easy once I could get into some heat to move some things around.

Where are you guys buying coilpacks from? I'm thinking ECS........I know if I order from them it will be here next day. Anybody have any other suggestions as to where to look?

Thought it was the ignition coil, but you said you had already swapped them. When mine misfired, I bought mine on ebay from FCP http://www.fcpgroton.com/. I had one misfire, and I figured just upgrade to the R version (bought all 4) and keep the L versions as spares. I just checked his inventory, and they don't seem to have them for the 99.5 (I am assuming you have an AEB, but they do have them for the ATW). You could always send him a message and inquire. And believe it or not, Autozone carries ignition coils for a decent price. It is just more times than less, they need to order them as they hardly carry them in stock.

Yeah I did it again because I was getting nowhere with anything else and I just knew deep down inside that it was the issue. I'm contact ECS and the dealer in the morning to compare and contrast. Hopefully have something in the mailbox on Wednesday.
