    Re: Pistons and rods

JE pistons are good and SCAT rods are not the best but can get the job done

if u want cheaper source the forged rods and pistons off an AEB motor

if ur just going to GTRS or GT71R eliminator u don't really need rods only if u go 30 series

    Re: Pistons and rods

IE are good rods, or SCAT rods.

Pistons you have a few choices. JE pistons are great and I used them on my last motor build. A lot of people are using supertech pistons now, i havn't used them before but I havent heard anything bad about them.

even the mahle stock pistons will work if you staying 1.8

    LMAO!

    thinking the same thing.

also, i like the "ppl tellin me im going to be going through rods a lot"

that's just hilarious to me. you think after the first time you'd learn.

but rods and pistons for you are fine. if you really want to push your car a lot, then i would suggest Integrated Engineering rods. they are more than enough for the power you will be making and beyond.
