So of all the front bumpers available, which ones do you guys prefer?

I'm biased, but I still like the Rieger best as far as aftermarket options go. I still think S4 or RS4 converted S4 bumpers look pretty sick, thought of finding a used S4 and modifying it?! Just a thought!

Yea I have been looking into finding an S4 bumper as well and doing the rs4 conversion DIY to it. If i could find an s4 in decent shape that is def an option

Maybe the guys running the Kerscher found something I didn't, but being the second owner of a car w/ the Kerscher kit, I wasn't pleased. The install was horrible though, so that's why I haven't slandered Kerscher. I don't think it's Kerscher's fault. BUT Fiberglass FTL.

Def dont want to keep the A4 bumper on there. I hate the plastic trim on the bottom and i dont wanna paint it. I am prolly leaning more towards S4 with rs4 mod. Cant beat OEM fitment and quality

u can get a new canadian spec s4 bumper (no fog lights) from the dealer for $499 .. that's my plan.

or if there isnt a known DIY, anyone know where to find those RS4 style mesh inserts for the S4 bumper (or the A4...i have an RS4 grille and think the stock bumper grilles look silly)?

I did the mod to my stock bumper, but it is not the best of quality jobs. Well, for a perfectionist it is noticeable. For another, it is clean . I used lltek RS4 ABS plastic mesh that I found on ebay for cheap (~$20), but it is expensive on the web site. I think it was ~$70 worth of mesh. If you search, there are a couple threads on the process to RS4 lower grills. People use a metal mesh found at Home Depot, and spray it black with plasti-dip.

What I did was cut out the grill inserts to the point it was just the outer trim (and a couple back peices for stirdiness) and the clips to hold it onto place on the bumper. Used epoxy to make the mesh stay onto the grill inserts (after I cut out the mesh matched up), then sprayed it with plasti-dip (bc the epoxy left an ugly color).

I personally think the S4 front is the best. I've done some minor bits of work to it as well to make it a tad different than everyone elses. oem+ Besides, there's a silver b5 s4 running arounf evansville with the rs4 rep front bumper. can't have two in one small town lol.
