My New R8 18" Reps on Sport Suspension (PICS)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Knowing that there are not too many fans of the R8 wheels in A4's, I just installed some 18" R8 Reps with 245-40-18 tires and I think they are growing on me.
I have sport suspension, so I got a more "sporty OEM look", that is finally what I am looking for.

Would love to lower it, only for the looks, because it is a daily driving car and roads here in Guadalajara are terrible.

As you can see, this 1.8T version has no orange sidemarkers to deal with . You can also drive with the city lights and fogs on as en OEM feature.

Decided to include a pic of my sport seats, knowing the you guys love this interiors.

All your comments are so very welcome!

The S-line seats that are sold everywhere but US. Just b/c the idiots at Highway Safety here in US ask the auto manufacturers to certify all their seats with airbags.
Audi doesnt want to spend millions to re-certify those seats

I love the R8 reps on the B7, nice work... it looks great. I think most of the complains you'll hear about it is "why mod to get an OEM look?" But for people like you & me, that exactly the point... to add some sporty aggression to the look of the car without looking modified, keeping the OEM cleanliness.

Might need to be another 10mm lower to sit just right, but I hear you on the bad roads thing.

Love those seats too, I'm just plain jealous of those.

Edit... just noticed those black centercaps, I think those might look a little better if they were silver too

I'm considering for my next set up tyre size like yours 245/40/18 because roads conditions in my country. Have you got any issues with them? do you rub? What rim offset and wids do you have?

Offset 35 and width 8.0 with no issues at all by the moment (only 5 days have passed). You can use a tire calculator at internet and you will see that the diameter difference between stock tires and 245-40-18 is not much, so no rubbing issues (at least with sport suspension).

This is exactly the look I will be going for also. I think that I want to upgrade to 18" wheels because I am watching the weight and also the ride quality. For my style of driving, 19" would require too low a profile for these Houston roads. Nice car.

I like your exhaust also -- what kind do you have, and did that rear valance come with it?

The rear valence is the S4 OEM, you can find it at any dealer for less than 100usd, direct replacement. I only changed the exhaust tips, I bought stainless steel dual oval tips, dont remeber the brand but not a fancy one.

I didn't want to sacrify to much the riding quality&comfort. I know they don't look as awseome as 19", but I think they are nice. Only time will tell if I should go for 19"...

very nice, seats are nice and reps look good. R8 reps will be the new rs4 reps, either of which dont look bad at all.

i love the look with no bumper markers!

    Maybe because it's a 1.8T

I will search for 1.8T B7 in the forum to see if it's normal...

For the ones who asked for the dual oval tips, bad news, it's a local brand, i guess only available here in Mexico and looks like it has no online store or web page... Woolrich is the brand.

What tires are you runnin' on those? They look pretty beefy, almost to the point of dwarfing the wheels to look like 17's. Still looks great though, and encourages me to get R8 19's
