Might be a stupid question but is it bad for anything on the car? Does it put pressure on anything?

    Thanks

it's major wear n tear on your driveline... the transmission and differentials can burn up!

Just be smart about it. Don't sit there holding 5g's or you'll start to heat up the transmission/differential. And let me state the obvious now: stay away from curbs/poles, and go somewhere you know is relatively flat. If you're spinning your wheels at a speed equivalent to 45-50 and you're actually going 2-3 when you hit a pothole, that wheel will abruptly stop and you could break the axle or any other of an array of suspension/driveline components.

But yes, it's very fun, especially with AWD where you can just stay on throttle and you'll straighten yourself up.

My allroad tip drove great last summer, unlike this summer. My car would shake violently driving over 45, until i replaced my U-Joints. I also had to replace the front passenger control arms. Over the winter I drove the hell out of my allraod by making lengthy ski trips which caused some damage.

was doing it today, as stated earlier, just be smart.

Make sure your car is warmed up and then drive it "normal" after having fun to circulate the cooling fluids to the vitals.

Avoiding the curbs and such is a biggy! I kissed a small curb, not going fast, and shit my pants, but everything seemed fine. Oh by the way, after some drifting/donuts, you have a good chance of getting snow lodged up behind your wheels and stuff which makes them out of balance, and you could get some vibration. I got really worried, but a few of my buddies said it happens to them too, just go to a self wash place and spray out behind your wheels. Have fun!
