    Unhappy A little worried

Okay so i finally got the car on the road and im currently letting my car get back to its state, setting boost to 15psi. I just installed my FMIC and im getting this unfamiliar sound that is kind of getting to me.

These turbos are brand new, not even 20k miles on them, every time during WOT i spool and its somewhat sounds like the lady but its constant flow. I thought to myself maybe its just the longer routing piping, but i just want to see what you guys think.

Ive blown my turbos before so i know what it sounds like when its blown, it kinda sounds like a very low pitched computer fan(sorry for the lack of comparison)

    Any ideas?

can you describe the noise more? Are you sure its not just a leak?

    Re: A little worried

100 percent its not a leak, i hold boost perfect and vacuum is fine. Lets try this analogy, sounds like a electrical screw driver but take it down a few decimals in sound.

could be the sound of the air going through the IC? idk. pressure test your car and see if you hear it.

    Re: A little worried

dude, that's just the turbos spooling... mid to high pitched whistling/howling noise right when you press on the gas? that's normal. failing turbos will sound like a train whistle/dentist drill

    Re: A little worried

Think of the acoustics of metal piping opposed to rubber piping. Its just the sound of turbos spooling and air hitting metal.

    Re: A little worried

Its prob. a leak somewhere if I were you id double check, when i installed mine fmic i had a whistle under boost that i though was the fmic but it was a clamp not tighten fully. Make sure all your connections are solid and the clamps are on TIGHT. Also a pressure test wouldnt hurt.

    Re: A little worried

does it fluctuate with throttle? If so, your diverter valves make a faint woooo sound if they are upgraded to a piston type usually.
