Heater Core

So i hear this horrible sound, kinda like grinding or something and it was coming from under the top vent, and now the heater blows cold air. Im concerned that the heater core is crapped out. My car has 208k on it so maybe it was just a matter of time.

The hose going into the core on the right is hot and the left is cold, im hoping it might be a blockage, but i wanted to know what someone might think.

if your lucky its just a blockage, run water through it. if that doesn't fix the heat issue your in for a long and painful job to replace the heater core.

Yeah im hoping its a blockage. I don't know when I would have the time to do a heater core replacement.

I flush it throught the right or the left side?

Quick update, while driving home last night with the heater off, that horrible sound happened again, and i decided to turn on the heat and it worked, so i'm hoping intermittent problems means blockage, fingers crossed.

It could be the heater blend door actuator too if its noisy
