    heat and flap motor fail

    i have a 99 2.8 and was searching about checking the flap motor causing heating issues?? does anyone know exactly how to check this, or do it with vagcom. I can hear a slight clicking noise, almost like somthing maybe getting stuck? is there anyway to check or clear this??

    You dont need a VAG-Com for this. You can do it through the HVAC head unit.

    It will let you control the vents manually and clear any possible blocks. Mine does the same thing, but seems to work if you have no vent selected on the control unit.

    Also - i bet its the potentiometer that is the main issue, that which is telling the motor what position the flap should be in.

    ok so i got a few codes, can anyone help me in how do i solve them!?!

    15.3 Air Flow Flap Motor Potentiometer, sporadic open

    15.7 Air Flow Flap, sporadic block

    22.1 (F118) A/C Refrigerant High Pressure Switch, static open (Compressor remains off until switch closes)

    50.3 ??? cant find what this means???

    anyone help!?!? Im not sure what 2 do?
