i leave mine (real ross-tech cable) plugged in all the time and have a active usp extension connected to it, so the whole thing is routed under the dash and just comes up under the passenger seat. and the draw under the seat works great for coiling up the slack and loose end when i'm not using it.

For those of you having issues with your cable try this out. It worked for me.

    Re: VAGcom cable ?

i've been thinking about moving it to the glove box since i have my power inverter in there anyway. then both the power for the laptop and the vag cable will be coming from the same location.

    Re: VAGcom cable ?

i have a really nice dell laptop i use now but would rather it not be in the car all the time and being slammed around. i found some older touch screen laptops on ebay for like $300, so i'm prob gonna grab one of them just to be my vagcom system.

the touch screen should be much nicer then trying to use a touchpad while driving :P
