When you search, try Powder coat. That may bring up a lot more listings..

ive been told with gloss powder coating the rims tend to chip and they are hard to take care of

I got my stock rims powder coated flat black and these things are bulletproof I love them

I've never had a problem with mine. Had them done over a year ago and they are still minty fresh. I have a lot powder coated parts on my car and I think it comes down to, just like with paint, the prep and application.

I found that when you clean them, spray them with rubbing alcohol to get off the water spots.

    Re: powe coat

no, gloss black powder coat does not chip easily, just like everything else it needs to be done properly to ensure this though. There are a lot of shotty places out there. My parents own one of the largest powder coating facilities in ontario and essentially as long as you sand blast the rims first, the textured surface will allow the powder coating to grip like a sunofa *****. I had steelies on my jeep powder coated gloss black and they were durable as hell, I've never had a problem. It should run you around 200 sandblasted and powder coated, maybe 150, probably double what you would spend to do it at home but the results will be 19832098402384x better. just shop around and ask the companies their procedure.

    Re: powe coat

This far I haven't had any issues with my gloss chipping. I had them blasted as well. I also had the guy do the outer barrel too.
