So the snows finally here, I decide to install my Audi winter mats. So I look in the manual, all I find under floor mats is a warning to lock the mats down. Do I find anything on how to install or remove the locks ,No ! So I poke , pull, turn, no luck. Well guy's how do I get em off without breaking something???

Ya the end closest to the seats on all 4 mats has two holes with a plastic lock down that sits flush with the mat

On my stock mats if I just pull up they "SNAP" and come loose. I've done it a 1000 times. I think you are over thinking it..

Kind of hard to explain but while pushing down on the inner circle with your thumb from the top side, lift the outer ring section from the underside.

Yup now that they're off , can see I was over thinking it . Part of the problem is the winter one's came with instructions for install that showed something you pushed on after the mats were in place . Alister very helpful explanation they popped right off

    Glad I could entertain you
What can I say , its my first Audi and I wasn't expecting it to be that simple (Well once I knew how they were attached it was ) My old Jetta, the factory mats had anchors that screwed down into the carpet so I figured I'd find out how they came apart instead of just reefing on it and maybe breaking something. I've always been funny that way, and I know the company I work for appreciates the fact that I will do some research and check a manual before I fuck with an engine that will cost $80,000 to replaceRule of Thumb if you haven't done it before , find out the right way to do it before you start
