    Hit A Pole In Snow

Damn, so title says it all. Fortunately it was at like two miles an hour and just damaged the wheel well panel. I'm hoping I won't even have to replace the lower panel on the USP front bumper. Moral of the story is even though you may have aggressive all-season tires, when it's 6 degrees outside in 3" of fresh snow with pack underneath your car probably still won't hold traction. Difference betw. full on winter tires and all-seasons (other than tread shape) is that winters use rubber that stays softer in cold conditions, thus holding traction better.. I'm positive that my all-seasons hardened up like a b*tch because i really had no traction whatsoever at 2mph on snow, going around a corner. Gonna cost me a $250 deductible, WTF. this money was supposed to go to a SS

Re: Hit A Pole In Snow

i feel for you, that happened to me in my VR6. I tried to turn on a backstreet about 10 seconds from my house and it was just pure ice. I was going like 5 mph and slid into a ditch and dented my front fender, along with having to call my parents to come pull me out of the ditch. I even had to get the neighbors involved since the car had no traction to pull me.
