My center vents won't blow air???

Is there any explanation for this?

I assumed all vents in a car ran off one duct?

For the past week, my center vents won't blow any air whatsoever.

auto wont blow air in the centre vents, need to press the middle vent button for them to come on

You got it. Just press the button that looks like a vent. You have to control it manually with the temp and how much it blows out. Center vents don't work in auto mode.

anyone know why the auto doesnt use the canter vents, ive always wondered?

Plumbing. The center vents will work on auto only if the two sides are tied. If they are set to different temperatures, it just turns off. My guess is that it's only plumbed to the driver's side. Be it simplicity in design or the fluid dynamics of trying to blow two different temperatures in two different directions from two vents so close together, I'm sure the engineers had their reasons.

I also have this problem. They wont work for me if i have the center and floor vents on. No air at all will come out the center vents if i have both options on. When i set it to just center vents only they pump out air tho
