i think you need to flow more ethanol than you do gas, therefore need larger injectors.

i remember a few threads a while back about this.

    Re: E 85 anyone?

You will need larger injectors and probably a better FP. And a tune to go with it all.

PM 2001NYS4. He custom tunes for E85.

I believe it... you need a good tune... I know a guy that did it with his Acura Integra big turbo and he gained 35 whp over his 93 octane tune....

    Re: E 85 anyone?

yes, you need more fuel flow, surely a new computer map. You also need to know the materials used in every component of the fuel system. Certain materials, both plastic and metal, are very resistant to standard fuel, but not resistant to the high alcohol content of E85. E85 could weaken and degrade some of the components, not necessarily, but possible if you don't know what they are made of. Automakers who make actual E85 rated vehicles have to make specific, sometimes expensive, materials choices in the fuel systems.

E10 is fine for any car, however, but doesn't gain you power, just uses less gasoline.

Doesn't mean you can't do the conversion, but you had better know what you are doing.

    Re: E 85 anyone?

DenverNoob had his e85 conversion done at Autobahn Premier Service in Englewood...they're just off of Broadway before Hampden. They're a very reputable local shop, and I think just so happens to be the only GIAC dealer in Colorado. Give Randy or Todd a call and they'll tell you all you need to know.

ps. you can definitely get a lot of power out of this conversion and i'd love to do it. problem being that i don't want to rely on finding certain gas stations because i drive all over in and out of town. it burns fuel like a mofo too.
